HELPING THE DISABLED

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessing be upon His Messenger.

Being mentally and physically healthy is the greatest gift that we should be thankful for. At the same time, being it mentally or physically ill is a test from Allah to mankind. Therefore, one has to be patient, grateful, and thankful to Allah for whatever He gives. In Qur’an it’s mentioned*{Only the patient will be paid back their reward in full without measure...}* (Az-Zumar 39:10)

Every human being has given their rights in this life. No matter if he/ she are abled or disabled. As Muslims first we should refer to the perfect guidance to the mankind the glorious Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessing be upon him.

When we look into Qur’an, these some of the verses even though the direct terms are not being used its states the same.

*{O mankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other).}* (Al-Hujurat 49:3)

*{And cooperate with one another towards righteousness and piety and do not cooperate towards sinfulness and aggression.}* (Al-Ma'idah 5:2)
*{Whoever saved a life, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.}* (Al-Ma'idah 5:2)

When we look into Hadheeth’s of the Prophet (PBUH)

"Whoever meets the needs of his brother, Allah will meet his needs."

"Show mercy to those on earth, and God will show mercy to you."

The Prophet has emphatically said: "None of you is a true believer until you wish for your brother what you wish for yourself."

"Charity is prescribed for every person every day the sun rises."

"if one removes a hardship of a Muslim in this life, Allah will relieve a hardship from him on the Day of Judgment."

From these few but meaningful verses of Qur’an and saying of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) we know how important it is for us to establish the rights of the Disabled and less fortune people.

Indeed as Muslims it is obligatory for us to provide care and protection to the disabled people.

We have no right to humiliate, discriminate or reject them from the society.

We have no right to isolate them from the community unless if such a treatment is required for them to make them recover. We have to serve them equally in the society but with extra care.

It is not only the duty of few people in the society or the family to look after them or provide guidance and protection to them. It is the responsibility of the whole community. It is a consensus among scholars that the whole community will be considered sinful if these people are neglected and abandoned or humiliated. Can u live with that?

May Allah bless u all.

VOLUNTEER

Helping the disabled. It is the duty of the whole society to establish schools for those persons and secure them due care so that they become good members of the society and that they benefit themselves and their families. In 1998 a Non-governmental organization named CARE SOCIETY was formed to promote the rights of the disabled in Maldives. It is duty of we Muslims to shoulder the responsibility of showing the utmost care to those people, for, according to the teachings of our religion, those persons are sources of Divine mercy and blessings being showered on us now and then. They are the weak for whose sake we are given sustenance and made victorious. In his Hadith, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “You are given sustenance and victory for the virtue of those who are weak amongst you.” We, should show mercy and care to the disabled out of both human and religious motives. In Islam, we are commanded to show mercy to everything in this world. In the Hadith: “Show mercy to those on earth so that He Who is in the heavens (i.e. Allah) bestow mercy to you.”

So my dear friends let us be someone who is always grateful to volunteer. Help the CARE SOCIETY to make a difference in lives of those people in need of care. There are many ways you may contribute the CARE SOCIETY.

Silence

I have been wounded

I could feel the pain inside

There’s no blood clotted

There’s no sign…

I feel pain…

I have been having the feeling of emptiness

I feel incomplete…

I have been surrounded with loneliness

I could feel the guilt…

Can’t stop thinking

Can’t point out the cause

Mind keeps searching…

Still there’s no answer found

Till the last conversation everything was good

Still something had gone wrong overnight

What might go wrong…

I feel the pain…

It’s how I am…

Silence from a friend is hard to bear

It’s worse than a deep wound

Especially if it is from someone who I really care

My heart can’t rest till the reason is being found

Whatever the reason don’t hesitate to share

No matter how silly this may sound

Don’t hide anything because of fear

This will finally end up in tears

Your silence is hard to bear

Move on

Life is cruel. What you have to understand is, life is full of choices. It’s about asking, questioning and even though you cannot understand everything.

Nowadays you cannot understand. Let me ask you, do you really want to see across the line or not...

We always find things we like and things we love, but nothing stays as the same. Everything starts as everything actually ends.

You feel lonely and you will miss him. You think you can’t get over it. But why do we always want to explore… Why do we love things over the other… Just like you liked a song so much, but when you hear something nicer. You will turn to it. You will slowly start to ignore and forget about the old one. Trust me this will happen.

Past is past… It’s like the surf from a boat. Even though you look at it. It finally vanishes…

He’s not the only one… Not the only person who could love you. Understand and believe, everything has it’s time and reason. We just can’t understand it…

MIstakes

Why hesitate for being careful.

Is it that you think it’s awful.

Is it that you think you have got a handful…

Or is it you think you are always right.

Are you willing to be in a fight…

Fight for something which isn’t right.

Why don’t accept what is yours.

Asking for forgiveness there’s nothing to lose.

To see your loved ones in pain, it hurts.

Especially when you realize the mistake was yours.

People make mistakes a lot. The reason we are called as humans is that we make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. We might be good at things, but not at all of them. It doesn’t make our self a looser.

We can’t do everything, the perfect way, but we could try. Trying is the way to be.

Sometimes the mistakes we do in our life could affect a lot. So we should be really careful with it. A simple word which comes out from us could change everything. Like a nuclear bomb. The effects could last forever.

The question is, “What if we made a mistake?”…… I know after saying something wrong or doing something, we can’t simply just press Ctrl+Z and undo everything. Like we use to do it in computers. I wish we could…… But it’s not possible.

Everything cannot be changed like it was before. Yes, but we could try to make things right.

The thing is when we realize that we had made a mistake, it will be too late. Most of the time we realize someone wake you up.

It might be cause, when we did what we did. We might think that was the best way to do that. And just simply did it without knowing the consequences.

We should also believe that everyone doesn’t do everything on purpose. There are people who do things on purpose too. If someone did something bad to you and later if she/he realized that she/he did something wrong. And ask for forgiveness.

We should forgive him/her. Even though they couldn’t make things as it was before.

The important this is realizing and accepting the mistake.

There are people who don’t want accept the mistakes done by them. They think that they are always right and perfect. But they are wrong. Cause no one’s perfect.

So dear friends. Try to avoid mistakes as much as you could. Also keep forgiveness as a habit. There’s nothing to lose by forgiving…

May God bless you all…………
